hi there,

i'v been maintaining overlapping sets of digital photos in two PCs and a powerbook before and i'm now making the final switch to consolidate my photo library in my new iMAc G5, i understand iPhoto does check for duplicates when importing from Digital Camera, however, when i import photos from different folders and whenever there are duplicated photos, iPhoto would not prompt me for any action. instead, it just imports everything i throw to her without questioning the duplicates.

could anyone please advise if there's any solution for such problem? thanks very much for any advice.

cheers, macanno

i have a similiar problem, over the course of a year or so, i've imported photo's without deleting the camera's contents, and then i'd take more pictures and upload and more pictures and upload resulting in as many as 5 duplicates of the older photo's, iphoto didnt' catcch any of this, is there an app out there that could somehow match the photo's like, if they look similar, not based on the time they were imported or anything like that....not the same title either, i don't name my photo's, they're all something like DSC01074.JPG
