iPod touch Please help with my gmail account

ok guys i have everything i nees for my gmail i can see my mail perfect but when i try to send mail it says "the connection to outgoing server smtp.gmail.com" failed any advice would be VERY appreciated

I was having problems with GMail too, so I just decided to use my Yahoo!.

Sometimes ISP's require you to use their SMTP severs to send e-mail's.

Whoa whoa Gmail is the best dude....

Heres what to do. 1.1.3 Changed the way Gmail works on the Ipod touch so go into settings-mail and delete your gmail account (on the ipod) then recreate it and you dont have to enter smtp etc just your username/password and it works 100% flawlessly

I've done that, still have problems. Yahoo! was just as simple setup as GMail, but GMail isn't working. Yahoo! works fine, so I use that email, no problem on my end 🙂
