Can you elaborate?
The apple Thunderbolt display was crystal clear and 10 years old. So buying something new at the price I paid I expected better clarity, color and brightness. This display is brighter than the thunderbolt, but I don't think it is much clearer. I expected to plug it in and feel a "this is awesome" moment like when I plugged in my new 27 inch thunderbolt for the first time. The feeling I got this time was "eh". I expected better from 10 years of technology advancement.

If you want something that is "crystal clear" in terms of having super-sharp fonts, you need a display with a very high pixel density, ideally around 220 ppi — such 27" 5K or 32" 6K. 32" 4K is "just" 136 ppi, and scaling (i.e. if you're not running it at "looks like 1920×1080") introduces additional blurriness.

How is the monitor connected to your Mac? What settings (scaled resolution) are you using and what version of macOS?

I have a 2015-mid MBP Using Catalina 10.15.7. I have ordered a new MBP but I have not gotten it yet. It is connected by HMDI port.

I would prefer 32 inch but I just want something super clear for photos and fonts. I have an Etsy store so I run my business on my MBP. If you could suggest something That would be great.

Found the scaled resolution 1920x1080

I have a hard time believe that the ASUS display -- especially that one -- is "displeasing".

I doubt you're going to find many (any?) others that will look "better" to you.

My opinion only.

I think I was spoiled with my Thunderbolt Display.
As said earlier, for the best "macOS experience" on a 27" display, it has to be 5K. On a 32", it has to be 6K.
The Thunderbolt Display isn't bad, just... low-resolution by today's standards.
