long story short, i ended up getting a macbook pro for free from one of my parent's neighbors. Pretty sweet deal...do not know know how old it it is, looks pretty new no me. anyway.

ALL of his information is on here and I cannot create my own login info because the computer is registered to him. I cannot add myself because of a lock and some other nonsense. Hopefully there is a way around this because he just left for a cruise and i really want to play around with it.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards.

You might also get a better response if you weren't basically asking everyone how to defeat a security feature on the mac. how do we know that you didn't steal it from some poor sap and you are looking to break into it?

my suggestion? write an email or call the guy. most people access their emails, messages, etc. even while on vacation.

You can buy a Snow leopard DVD From APPLE , it costs $30. And you can fresh install it.
