my ipod is stuck on the "connected eject before disconnecting" screen what do i do? any help would be greatly appreciated, bob

First, try to turn off the iPod by holding down on the sleep/wake button and then swipe the slider to turn it off. If it will not power down, you will have to reset it by holding down simultaneously on the sleep/wake button and the home button until you see an Apple logo appear. You should return to the home screen once the iPod is done restarting.

I'm pretty sure the 'eject before disconnecting' message is only on the click-wheel iPods (nano/classic).

Make sure the hold switch is turned off, then press and hold the centre button and the menu button at the same time.
