bump on a log in a hole in the bottom of the sea
I used mine right out of the box without charging it. Just unplug it and enjoy it. The light is green, that means go! ;)

Once the light goes green you can use it.
Make sure you Calibrate the battery sometime soon, and keep doing it every 4-6 weeks.

Also, you can download coconutBattery which will allow you to see how many cycles your battery has and other battery health items.

    Enjoy your new MB :D

yes. to keep these batteries strong you must

    1. calibrate
    2. draw down and charge up frequently.

i've gone through only 30 cycles in the last 5 months.... and my battery is as strong as ever
