So, was it true?

I'll take "Yes" for $2,000 Alex!

Not going there... people need to actually watch the show before expecting a response out of me to something that childish.

Yup, that's how I did it. Hooked the DVR to the Handycam and then (via FireWire) the camera to my iBook. Once captured, I copied the iMovie project to my PowerMac G5 for faster encoding.

I have a Sony DCR-TRV17 MiniDV Handycam (circa 2002).

Agreed ;)

Anyways, congrats on getting your email on the air even if it was read by a moron like him.

Ehh, not sure I would want my emails read by him, but I'm not sure I really have a say in who reads my emails anymore...however I am for the freedom of the press above all, so more power to you.

(Maybe that was too political, but I tried to be fair and balanced. I appoligize for any offense taken by anyone. If anyone wants to move this over to the politics forum I would be more than happy to tag along ;) )

Meh, we're all being civil.

I suppose now that I have my video we can just let this thread die peacefully!

Call me naive, but I'm amazed that they're able to attribute a quote to you that you didn't write. I know it's essentially the same thing, but it is not your writing. I understand shortening to the salient point of the e-mail, but outright reconstructing the sentences...I didn't realize they could get away with that.

I imagine all the TV shows do that. I suppose its legal.

It doesn't bother me at all. I almost jumped out of my seat when I heard it.
