i purchased a week ago for godsake from orlando and im back to my country (way far)
anyway, some kernel issue appeared first (says you need to restart your computer). it appeared alot and i did the c+left mouse and the p+r+command+opt
it got on and off again, then on. (after many rebooting,t worked)
so i decided to reinstall the software. when i clicked, while installing, it asked it turned grey and asked for rebooting!.
and now can't turn it on (the battery is full and the status light goes on and of i can't even know if its on or off.
black screen now. and i hear something when i click the power button (likc, beep) that's it.
please, help ? what should i do ?
its mbp 15 AG 2.3 quad core. i paid a serious money for it

hmmm.

what happens now when you try to boot from the installation DVD? does it get you to an install screen?

here's good news: It sounds like maybe the HDD has gone belly up. You can replace it for less than $100USD, typically.

i'd really appreciate if you took me a step by step to do it.
+ the OS dvd is inside. (have no idea how to get it out)
i tried clicking eject but won't work..
the screen is totally black. totally

If i recall correctly the new MBPs boot into 64-bit kernel by default, could it be you were connecting something incompatible to it?

To boot from the DVD the machine hold down C when you press the power button and and keep holding till you get to a language selection screen.

Also is there an Apple store in your country?

You can ring apple for phone support i believe.

They will step by step you with your issues.

Good luck and hope this helps.

problem is in my country, there's no Apple stores.
i did the holding both c + power button.
nothing worked. the status light is pissing srsly.

does it really matter what country ?
.. and seriously now im afraid of even touching the power button.
can i ship the lap to apple or something.
is there any possible solution to this problem ?
an hour ago it used to work..
i have here some authorized stores but liars money seekers if you know what im saying.. they don't even have the 2011 mbp here

No, it doesn't matter what country. Stop asking us hypothetical questions and just call Apple to resolve the issue. Only they can figure out how to get your laptop into their hands so they can repair it. Nothing we say will change the fact that you have to contact them directly to resolve the issue.

people, the status light is on now !.
is that a good news ??.
(nvm, not anymore)

no i didn't. honestly ? i can't.
atleast not now. hopefully tomorrow...
it's eating my nerves

Well best of luck, I can understand what it's like. And don't worry too much about being in a different country, it's still covered even if there isn't an Apple store where you're at (taking it in for service may be the hard part, however). Although it may mean you're waking up in the middle of the night to make the phone call as I'm not sure if AppleCare is 24/7.

exactly,, iswear
can't i send them an email about it ? i know it doesn't help much but just to see how'll they respond?
cause i've been search for it for half an hour now

i will hopefully tomorrow. i will do everything i can to.
i typed the serial number and the repair choice appeared and the contacting -unfortunately i can't-
but its a good sign right ?
ofc it is..

I hate to repeat this again, but just call them yourself. If I had a serious issue I wouldn't bother filling out an online form. Your computer doesn't work at all. If you call them, they will either get you going, or give you a shipping label to send it out to get fixed.

Call. If it's a language issue, have someone call for you. Don't let it stop you. Apple will be happy to get you fixed up, you just need to reach out to an actual person on the other end of the telephone.

I TRIED !!
It's not functioning.. either i wait till tomorrow.
or someone call for me -i'd really appreciate-
i know it's pathetic. but put yourself in my position
im sorry everyone and thank you all.
