Hello, I am pretty sure that you can restore your ipod without using itunes. Have you tried the hard reset?
If u havent, try holding the Sleep/wake button + the Home button until the ipod shuts down, KEEP HOLDING, the moment you see anything on the screen RELEASE the sleep/wake button.
This will restore your ipod.. If that restore doesnt work, i dont think i told you the right instructions LOL...can someone tell me if this is how you do the restore?
shows up and release the "Sleep/Wake" button but continue to hold the "Home" button... then the "connect to iTunes" screen pops up this puts the iPod in restore mode...then you plug into itunes and restore..hope that works!! good luck! For everyone, one simple word of advice: DO NOT JAILBREAK YOUR IPOD.
For everyone, one simple word of advice: DO NOT JAILBREAK YOUR IPOD. My ipod broke, and now whenever I try and move from my first page of apps, a spinning wheel appears, and I just go right back. Tried opening installer to uninstall some stuff- doesnt work. Tried to listen to music- doesnt work. And it wont sync to iTunes. After a 3 hhour call with apple, they can't do anything, and now I have to make an appointment with an apple genius- and its almost certain not to fix, according to the guy I spoke with. Now I have to make an appointment which may not even fix it, and because the warranty is VOIDED when you jailbreak, I would have to buy another iPod. There goes three hundred bucks of my hard earned money, all because I thought it'd be neat to add some apps. I will never make this mistake again.
So I was wondering, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it??? Your help is greatly appreciated.
I'm sorry to say this, but does anyone read the forums before they go out and do this stuff? People need to stop using the incredibly easy jailbreaks--all they do is click buttons and don't know how to do anything to make it run properly/
