Please recommend a comedian/enne

OK here is a list of some of my favourite comedians and I am hoping other people will increase the world laughter quotient by suggesting others.

I'll start with Peter cook have to particular recommend the lesser known 'Why bother' with the six toed Danish persiflagellator Chris Morris.
It also might be ridiculous to start without
mentioning the irreplaceable Bill Hicks.

Adam Buxton
Jason Byrne


(can't think of any beginning with A who really cause elevated hilarity)
 
There are SO many!

Seeing as I live in Montreal, I've been to the Just for Laughs festival on countless occasions. Here are my favorites:

John Pinette
Dane Cook
George Carlin
Russell Peters
Jeremy Hotz
Gabriel Iglesias
Ron White
Jeff Foxworthy
 
Stand up/writer: Armando Iannucci, Rhod Gilbert, Ross Noble, Dave Spikey, Graham Linehan and Billy Connolly.
Acting: Matthew Holness, Steve Coogan, Marc Wootton and Simon Pegg.

I second Lewis Black, he's probably my favorite! All of Lewis Blacks albums are good, but I like his earlier ones better, I would Recommend "The White Album," and "The End of The Universe."

John Pinette is also hilarious, he has two or three albums out....

John Pinette is fantastic. As is Eddie Izzard. I can't believe I forgot them earlier.

Does Rush Limbaugh count?
 
Jim Gaffigan is one of my favorites. I also like Lewis Black, and Frank Caliendo does some hilarious impressions (You cant beat his John Madden)
 
Sarah Palin
Her colorful misuse of the English language makes me laugh (and then I cry).
