Please recommend Firewire adapter for MacBook Pro

I bought a refurbished MacBook Pro 13" about three months ago and just went to hook up my Firewire Audio Interface for the first time to realize that my laptop doesn't have Firewire. DUH.....

So how can I make this work? HELP.

What model year is it? As far as I knew all 13" Macbook Pros had Firewire 800:

If your audio interface is Firewire 400:

That's true, unless he has the late 2008 aluminum MacBook which didn't have FireWire.

Yep, that's correct. The 13" MBP was introduced in 2009 with Firewire 800.
