Hi, it is high time I renew my iTunes playlist.

I would like to explore jazz, but I have a hard time finding artists that fit my taste (by the way, I find iTunes severely lacking when to comes to discovering new music).

Right now I am listening a lot to Liquid Soul, and acid-jazz band, and especially their album titled "Here's the deal".

I find their music very punchy and fast-paced, just what I need to raised my spirit as I commute to the office every morning.

    Any suggestions?

In a search for a list of Jazz types, I came across this post, from Yahoo Answers, Australia.

I hope the links still work for you.

You could go old school, with Dave Brubeck, Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, Bill Evans, and many others, or new with Brad Mehldau, who plays and sings very well.
