I always go with some variation of Black or Space Grey -- never bored with it, always suits me just fine.....so no interest in what other colors are offered with the iPhone. If someone else wants pink or gold, why not let them have it and enjoy it?

I miss the old gold they had on the iPhone 5s / 6 / 6s / 7. This new rose goldish iPhone 8 gold color isn't something for me, it's really pink. I don't like it. Xs gold color is also pretty nice, it's like a brownish gold. But the silver is my favorite actually on the X series.

Look I bought my wife a gold iPhone 8. That phone looks so premium. Words cannot describe how classy that thing really looks. It is like a Cadillac or something. If it didn’t have the pinkish rose tone to it, I would certainly own one too. But I have the space gray 8 plus instead. Her iPhone 8 looks classy though for sure.

I don’t use cases. I think the phone case market is just ridiculous. We have all made our selves believe that we need to put our devices in bulky boxes with glass and plastic protectors.

Many, many agree with your decision not to use a case or screen protector. But not every case need be bulky. Different people have different needs. I’m not certain your situation as to how long you keep your phone, but as a person who upgrades annually, a slim case and screen protector allow me to get top resale value. That is important to me given I’m spending $1400-$1500 on a phone I use for about all of my computing and photography needs. Selling my previous phone in mint condition helps offset the cost of my new phone by more than half.

Yeah just like other iPhone accessories the case market is a bit all over the place but it’s not just a way of protecting your device, for many it’s also a type of customisation.
