    Hello,

Just got my first iPhone 2 days ago. I came from years of using blackberry.

I do miss the blinking red indicator from the berry though.

Is there anyway to get the screen to light up when I get an email?

I can't have sound on at work and the vibrate annoys everyone on my desk at work.

    Thanks in advance

    Craig

Some indicator lights on the next iPhone would be awesome.

I'd tell your co-workers to deal with a vibration every once in a while. How many emails do you get? It can't be constant. Either that or just set your phone on a softer surface or keep it in your pocket.

Sounds to me like they've got problems, if vibrating annoys them that much. However, why you would even leave your phone on the desk is beyond me. Sounds like a recipe for disaster (falls off, stolen, etc.). Keep it in your pocket, IMO.

I think it's possible to set it up so that you get a text message whenever you get an email - that will cause the phone to light up. Not ideal but maybe a workaround for you.

You do have a few options. If you use GMail I recommend GPush app. There are a few others apps that will notify you with a pop-up but I cannot recall their names.
