Here(-ish)
I'll keep it short. I love MR and think the Mods do a fine job. They usually seem to have cool heads, and I've rarely disagreed with their edits, locks, warnings, etc.

Because of this, they get the benefit of the doubt, but I wanted to bring something to their attention. Yesterday I flagged a racist comment on a thread, and when I checked back later, it was still there. Again this morning, it's still up. As I said, I hope my "flag" just got lost in the shuffle, but that's never happened before, so I'm not sure what to think.

It's in this thread: [REDACTED]. I sincerely hope this is just an oversight and not deemed as "acceptable" by MR's Mods.

Thanks.

Every report is looked at and decided upon. Some days we're staffed lighter than others.

If you have issues with moderation, the more appropriate way to handle it is to send a Contact message to the admins and they'll look into it and get back to you.

Would be nice if they cracked down much harder on the anti asian racism that is rife on this forum. Its really worrying what gets let go sometimes.

Seems if its not about skin colour then racism is taken far less seriously than it should be.

Not a mod but I've never seen these kinds of posts here. In which particular subforum is this happening if I might ask?

It when you get a something like a story about a death from a counterfeit charger and at the moment any thread taking about scalpers (not everyone on the thread, just always seems to be one or two). Its genuinely shocking what some people say.

Theres specific topics that just trigger the inner racist in some people. Quite a lot gets let go that most certainly would not be let go if it was about black people for example.

To me any kind of hate and generalisation based on race is as bad as any other.

Or anything related to middle east. Those remarks in those threads are particularly bad.

I could not agree more. I am tired of the constant undertones of "'Merica, xxxx YEAH" all over these forums. I am sure all of you know exactly what I am talking about. It's very distasteful even though it's usually very subtle. It always reminds me of "They took our jobs" - watch South Park for the reference.
