Pleeease Help!!!!!

ive recently been having a problem Importing clips in Final Cut Express with my Canon HG10 (AVCHD). All of the clips load in the log menu, and i can select them, then when they appear in the selected clips box, and i press add selection, the status appears with a " ! " . and the clip doesnt load into the browser. Anyone know what the problem is? Any help is greatly appreciated!! thanks alot!

FWIW: I don't know about FCE, but in FCP, I have to use "Log and Transfer" to import AVCHD clips instead of "Log and Capture". That seems to work OK.
