Anyone else using Plex Cloud? It is so clunky that I am surprised they released it. I started using Plex when was first introduced many years ago and was even a donor. It has morphed into this terrible thing that makes Windows 8 seem like a fantastic product. I seriously doubt that I renew my Plex Pass. Waste of money.

Hey Cave Man, what problems are you hitting? We've been hearing mostly great things from Plex Cloud users, but some people are hitting issues here and there.

Apparently their is an issue with the music side at the moment with updating libraries but they are hoping to have it sorted in the next update.

Anything with the word "cloud" is just not worth even bothering with, living as I do 20 miles outside London. Internet simply isn't up to it, nor will it be for the foreseeable future.

Wow, I just tried playing a playlist of songs on my home server (Mac mini 2012) from my MacBook Air using Safari and it no longer works. It just pauses a few seconds on each song without even starting to play them, then it skips to the next track. This repeats until the very end of the playlist. I then tried it for an album and the same issue. I then launched Plex Home Theater on my MBA and get:

"Unable to play media. Make sure the file exists and that the necessary drive is mounted"

WTF? The drive is mounted and working just fine. I can even navigate to the folders from my MacBook Air.

I think I am going back to my claim of "worst deployment ever". This is fsking terrible. Why did they screw up such an awesome program?

Plex Cloud is still in Beta has just come out of beta and is a freebie benefit of being a PlexPass subscriber, so I'm not going to complain about a few glitches here and there, but if I'm honest, I don't really have a use for it:

1) All my media is stored on a NAS and I have a fast enough upstream internet connection (>20mb/s) to stream straight from it when I'm away from home
2) The only cloud provider I have a decent amount of space on is One Drive for Business: I get 5TB of space due to the Office 365 subscription I'm on, but it isn't supported by Plex Cloud (only OneDrive personal, Dropbox and Google Drive are supported)

I can see the attraction for people who have lots of cloud storage and don't want to dedicate a machine to be a Plex server but hopefully it'll be a bit of a side project for them and not something they concentrate on at the expense of their core product :)
