I have bunch of what I believe are plotter ink cartridges.

They have been stored for many years in a storage building that is unheated and often is below freezing. But, I took the black tip off one of the cartridges and it still prints.

Can anyone tell me anything about these?

Thanks

If the images work for you, try logging out of picassa to see what others will see.

Alternatively, upload the images using the "Attach Files" option when posting. It's below the text box, under "Additional Options".

Exactly like that.

Searching the old parts DB come up with nothing.

But yes, my guess would be the "Apple Color Plotter" for Apple II's.

Looking at it, it's 4 green 1.3mm pens but I'm not sure what the light-bulb designation means.

Some docs:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=1991&coll=ap

http://www.macworld.com/article/144740/2009/12/apple_color_plotter__apple_scribe_1984.html

I'm trying to find any images that confirm what these are for. They are unusually chunky for a plotter, and the old part number doesn't show up in my old parts DB.

I have about 100 packages of these in various colors sizes and designations. They are in a cardboard Apple box with drawers. It would appear to me that they were stored this way for sale.

Anyway, thanks for the help getting the images posted.

i also thought ACP, as (one) of the colleges i went to had one for CAD, and i remember seeing the ink around the lab.

if i remember, and i probably don't, the 'pen vs bulb' was for text vs photo quality ink. the text one was better for text, calligraphy, specialty fonts and stuff. the photo ink was better for pics, illustrations and so on.

cool find. best of luck.
