Hey guys, I'm going from the US to China and Hong Kong for travel and need an adapter/converter for all my plugs preferably with a surge protector. What have you guys used and recommend?

I got one of these for my friend from the EU for her US MacBook Air and for her EU iPhone. You get a bunch of different plugs that slide right onto the white power brick for a laptop and also a complete small brick for an iPhone/iPad that uses the same plugs.
No surge protector though.
