Plug in USB Hub to Apple LED Cinema Display Pots?

Can I plug in a USB hub to my cinema displays USB ports on the back?

I couldn‘t imagine a reason why not.
It is USB 2.0 so the maximum total throughput is ~30 MB/s.
In contrast to USB 3.0 (900 mA) it only delivers 500 mA, so dependent on the devices you want to connect, you may need an active hub (meaning with dedicated power supply).
