Is it possible to plug in your MPB on another monitor than the thunderbolt display? I find them way too big and overpriced :S
 
You can use any external monitor of your choosing, just get the correct adaptor and you are in business.
 
You can connect any monitor. I have a Dell monitor connected to my MBP 13". I am using a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.
