iPod touch Plugging iPod touch to another mac removes downloaded apps

i tried a search but either i am the only one which plugs 1 iPod touch to several macs or i couldn't find the correct wording... anyway...

i have downloaded some free and some paid apps from the app store.

at work, i had to recharge the iPod touch with my work mac, and a few seconds later, the downloaded apps are gone...

is there a workaround for this? thanks for your help...

yeh set the ipod to manually manage and that should stop the auto sync

thanks a lot. i will try that out when i get home... i have reconfigured iTunes at work, to manually sync.
