Just thought it would be cool for everyone who prefers the large screened iPhones to chime in on:

- Which one they have? and

- Why they prefer their big screen iPhone versus the others?

- Post pics

Personally have a XS Max in Space Grey, always have been a big screen phone person, and only really began having more interest in iPhones once the Plus models arrived and eventually got the XS Max as my first iPhone as the iPhone X design grew on me overtime.

Love the heft and size of the Plus and Max iPhones, they just feel right and are amongst the few larger screen smartphones that still have FLAT displays!

Here’s mine

Hope no other thread like this exists

When the X came out I was worried Apple wouldn't come out with a large version the same size as the old Plus series. When they finally did with the XS Max I was relieved! Finally upgraded to an 11 Pro Max last year.

I'm a big guy and like having a big phone. Nothing beats that giant OLED display. I hope Apple someday releases an OLED iMac or Macbook Pro, but I doubt it because of burn-in issues. Computers tend to display the same things on the screen for hours at a time when in use, unlike the other common OLED screen devices like phones, tablets and TVs.

Every iPhone I have ever owned has been bigger than the last (3GS -> 5s -> 6 -> 8 Plus) and each time, within a day or two, my previous phone felt way too small and the new size felt “normal”. I wouldn’t want to go back to a smaller phone than my 8 Plus now. In fact, it doesn’t even occur to me that it’s a “plus” sized phone most of the time. As I said, it just feels normal. As if all of my phones have always been this size.

I had the X, then got the 11 Pro Max, felt like it was too big, so I got an 11 Pro.

Now I feel like this is too small. And I want the Max again. I had some issues using the Max with one hand. But I also loved the big screen and that it felt like I didn’t need an iPad for some things. Now I’m torn. That screen is so nice, though.

I can read the screen better, and it fits in my hand well. I bury the smaller phones in my hand. Even better since the Maxes since it is nearly all screen for nearly the same size body. Agree I love the flat screens. I hated the Androids with the curved screens because I would tap things in error on the edges.

I’m a media junky (movies, games, etc) and the biggest possible screen is the most enjoyable experience. I also use my phone for directions and do a lot of road trips with friends/family and having a giant screen to see the map on makes it easier to focus on my driving. I also read a lot books on my phone as well. If Apple comes out with an even bigger phone next year like the rumors are saying, I’ll get that one.

I like it when I drop my max on my face. It happens more often than you would expect. It’s worst when it hits my teeth.
Yeah, this is exactly why I stopped using my phone above my face while lying in bed.

The bigger screen has always been more enjoyable for readability and more useful for filming.
The size and decreased reach has always been a downside.

The upsides have always outweighed the downsides so it’s always been and will be the bigger model for me.

11 Pro Max 1st time large screen for me. I do a lot of TV & movie streaming, gaming on Mario Kart, with daily Internet surfing. I rarely use my home computer anymore for a lot of functions because I like the mobility.

It took me almost a couple months to fully acclimate but now I feel that this is the average size phone. I forget it’s even a larger display. I only get reminded when I look at my old iphone X, that I gave to my son, how small it was. I’m so glad I upgraded.

Unless my activities change I can’t see ever going back down to a smaller size, not even the 6.1 would do anymore.

Luckily I don’t wear skinny jeans, so I‘m OK with the Max in my pocket.

I definitely found a true appreciation for larger displays which reinvigorated my excitement in cell phone usage again.

I was completely satisfied when Apple introduced the 5.8 iPhone as this is the sweet spot for my needs. When I heard next years premium iPhone could a 5.4 and 5.7 I was disappointed because I definitely don't want a smaller phone but the larger option would be something I'd need to get used to. Now that the rumors point to 6.1 and 6.7 for the premium phones, I'll be moving to the Pro 6.1 size for sure...

After all this years... it looks like im not the only one in the galaxy.

Wait...wut? This is a thing?

Maybe take some daily vitamins and / or take member Bandanan’s advice and not do this in bed before bedtime while dozing off. o_O LOL. The thought of it happening makes me laugh, sorry. Hehehe Should be a gif.

Edited to add: holy moly there is

Always liked big phones. Even before the iphone had larger phones I switched to the Samsung galaxy line. I had several galaxy notes, then I switched back to the 6 plus, then the 6S plus and then the 7 plus. I got the iphone X and it was too small. I was miserable and was happy to switch back to the Xs max and now I have the 11 pro max. I’ve used large phones since 2012 and I couldn’t use a smaller phone now.

When I got my XS Max I thought this is the perfect size- no bigger, no smaller.

I think I would go bigger again if they released a Max Max
The Max Plus? Interested to see what shenanigans they come up with for naming the bigger one.

I had have the X, then Xs Max and now the Pro Max.
The X wasn't a good experience at the very beginning, the apps were not ready to the screen size. The XS Max was Ok , but now the Pro Max is great for the cameras and the battery life.

Lol, this is the absolute worst! So I have almost done this a few times with my XS Max but the first thought in my mind is “I don’t want 200g of stainless steel and glass breaking my face”
Each time it has mistakenly slipped out of my hand in bed I have literally moved my head as fast as possible to avoid it ruining me.

Indeed, totally with you here, even now my Max feels normal sized now and I am hoping for a 6.7inch version soon.

Have you looked into getting the iPhone 11 then? The 6.1inch Non-Pro? Or do you absolutely need the 3rd camera, OLED display and stainless steel?

I’ve finally cheated. After 7 years of using big phones I got a finger ring. Doubles as a good stand for watching videos too.

I have the 11 Pro Max and for me it’s big enough for me to read rendered desktop safari websites and that is big for me!

I turned on always desktop sites and I switched on all of the experimental web page settings and I am very happy.

Haha! You did good!
I think I may need one to soon, my reflexes won’t always be able to save my face from the iPhone.

No phone can ever take the place of an iPad to me. With how cheap iPads are now days, there's no reason not to have one.

Yeah, same here, not matter how large my phone screen is, I still want my iPads around.
