I thought the Plus was crazy big at first, but quickly got used to it.

Agreed... when Apple announced the Plus size (iPhone 6 Plus), I ordered one. Everyone in my family made fun of me, saying it was too big. Fast forward 2 years... and most of them are also rocking the Plus version.

My bet is $999, $1099 and $1199. But I sure hope I'm wrong!

This is a very good guess. IMO it could only be lower if the "regular" models were a little cheaper than usual because I guess Apple will want a gap of at least 200 $ between the 7s Plus and the 8.

I often wonder if certain phones are more popular in certain countries? Out of the people I know who bought the iPhone 6 Plus in 2014, most I would say now use a regular sized iPhone. I don't see that many in the corporate world here either?

I must admit I'd never be able to get used to it because it's simply too big for the type of clothes I wear. This isn't to say it doesn't suit people like yourself.

It's funny how we've gone from wanting smaller phones back to larger. Of course, the need has changed.

I remember this one in particular that I owned for a while. It was nice having such a small device. :D

I think the Nokia 8310 was the smallest phone I've owned. Modern smartphones with exception to the ridiculously huge iPhone Plus and other phablets, are slimmer so I think it's evened out. I don't think the overall demand has returned for larger phones, just bigger screens in slimmer models. I don't know anybody personally who actively seeks a large phone out of choice.

Horses for courses, I personally think a slightly larger footprint is a worthwhile trade off for the larger, sharper screens of current models. When the imminent new formfactor becomes the new norm a generation or two further down the line, perhaps it will be nice to have the reduced footprint whilst keeping the extra screen space (though I will likely never be fully sold on oled, having not liked it on previous phones I've owned)

It's amazing how we adjust to size differences over time and where we came from. I remember the Motorola Slvr, it was so thin and light for its time, also extremely popular. I never could have imagined using 5.5 iPhone, and now I could never look back.

Funnily enough, everyone in the family was questioning me when I got the 6 Plus two years ago. Fast forward two years and I'm the one rocking a 4.7" iPhone 7 while a lot of them have the 5.5" iPhone 6S Plus/7 Plus, lol. :D

My mom's on the SE, though. That's her preferred size. I'm just glad Apple released that since my mom's iPhone 5s was already acting up and I really didn't want to pay $449 for a brand new 5s.

Yes, when all I used the phone for was...well a phone that size was perfect!

Now my iPhone is literally my office to go and more. The plus is now perfect.

I thought the + would be too big, so I didn't get it with the 6 and got the 4.7. I was totally wrong, it took no time getting used to it
