PLZ Help! Want to install OS X Leopard

I have an iMac with OS X Tiger already on it, and have a new MacBook with OS X Leopard. The MacBook came with an install DVD for Leopard but says MacBook on it. Can I use it to install Leopard on my iMac??😕

No, the discs are linked only to the computer that they come with. You will need to purchase a retail copy for an upgrade as the restore discs are provided for, well, restoring.

Dang! O well... When I buy a retail copy, will I have to back everything up, or can I just run the install and restart and still have everything in place?

You can do an upgrade install which will keep all your files intact.

Yea it's intel. How much better will Snow Leopard be? Is it as big as the difference between Tiger and Leopard?

No, the difference between Leopard and SL will not be a noticeable as the difference between Tiger and Leopard.
