Simple question I guess for someone...

Do the PowerMac 7600 and 8500 use the same logic board? They look the same to me in images on google search, but I am not sure if there's more to it than meets the eye.

Ultimate goal... can I toss a 7600 LB into an 8500 or vice-versa?

    Thanks!

From what I remember, the connectors on the boards are in different locations, but it's been at least 15 years since I last looked at them.
Edit: I found photos. The 7x00 boards have connectors that plug straight down into, while the 8500 boards are intended to be plugged in along the edge, so the connectors are oriented 90º differently.

From what I remember, there's no room in either case to use the other board.
