can anyone tell me if the apple watch has support for podcasts. I have asked store associates, phone reps, emailed support and Tim Cook (no reply) but no one seems to definitively know the answer. It's doesn't seem like that hard of a question but I thought I would post this here and see if anyone here knows the answer.

No it does not, unless the podcast is an MP3 in your iTunes library as "music."

They need to include a podcast app in watchOS 1.1

You can control the podcast from the playing now in glances after you get it going on your iPhone. I would imagine that Apple will add a podcast app in the future.

The Overcast app has a Watch app as well to control podcasts.

Sorry, realized the OP meant native support. I was saying that the watch can control podcast playback from the iphone.

I don't think so. Unless I'm telling Siri the wrong thing
