Podcast app bug--dock menu

This bug has been present for over two years. Here's what I sent to Apple in 2022....

When right clicking the Podcast app in the dock and selecting “pause” from the menu, the podcast playing does not pause on the first try. I have to perform the same procedure and click pause for the Podcast to pause.

Anyone have any idea on what's going on here?
