Podcast App keeps added episodes back after I delete them

Apple's Podcast App was working great for me but now after I delete episodes they end up coming back the next day when my pods sync again. It's starting to get really annoying.

Around this time I also noticed that my iTunes and App aren't syncing.

Depending on your settings, deleting them and not marking them as played will make them come back every time.
