iPod Podcast: cannot update episode list

I try to update the podcasts both from the "Update" button, and from the contextual menu, and it has no effect.

try removing the podcast and then adding it again - i had some problems with the dawn and drew show not updating..so i tried this and now it works perfectly..

I am not going to remove the episodes that I have already downloaded.
