Podcast Now Playing Controld buggy after 4.2

When playing a podcast on the OS4.2, the Now Playing App shows Music controls instead of podcast controls. That is, it does not show the customary 15 seconds forward and back. It shows the previous and next arrows.

If you pause and play multiple times it finally shows the 15 second scrub button.

Is this a bug? Anybody else experiencing this? It’s really frustrating that with every update, one thing is fixed and couple others break.

JUST GIVE US THE PODCAST APP ON THE WATCH! Even the freaking IPod Nano had the podcast app.

hard to believe that apple could make the podcast app worse! but yeah, I have the same issue
with my air pods, I can't restart a podcast with a double tap, once its playing, I can pause and restart though.
same issue with the remote functions on the watch
also, press to hold on the podcast app dosen't work anymore, it pops up and dispears before you can select an option, eg Play next

So, now I’m seeing weirder things. It’s going to 60 sec scrub then will return to 15 sec scrub.

The music player went wonky too. Headed out this morning and my music controls to stream Apple Music were all grey with only the play button active. Switched to podcasts and saw the music controls as you indicated rather than the skip seconds. Why can’t I be one of those people that run listening to the sounds of nature? Ugh!

Lol. I wish I was like our infant and just enjoyed white noise.

I’m beginning to feel that the Podcast on the watch situation is a strategic move as opposed to any technological challenge. Like trying to sway our usage behavior one way or another for the benefit of gaining subscribers down the line. I refuse to believe that, with their resources, Apple is this incapable.
