podcasts and ios 8

Anyone having issues with podcasts not streaming when the phone goes into lock mode? I have to keep phone unlocked to get through the podcast.

Reboot the phone, I had this issue with background processes for music and for trying to airplay to my apple tv.

When turned off the screen or exited the app it killed the Airplay/Music playing. Reboot fixed it for me.

Does anyone notice the Podcasts app using a lot of battery? When I go into settings and see the breakdown, it always is the top battery user. Even though I use powerful games like Real Racing 3 it still uses more than them.

Interesting. I use the podcasts app a lot during the day but it is not one of my top battery users.
