Would you swap for something like that or not? What could something like that be that can't be polished off with a cloth?

Ok thank you, the rest on the phone fits! Just the small point, what do you think it could be? Dust particles? Always thought that titanium is robust, use it with the apple silicon case

Maybe it’s debris that ended up on the frame and anodizing covered it.
Remember: they stamp these things out in the millions — really really fast, so small imperfections are hard to spot (on a conveyor traveling 40mph).

I wouldn’t imagine a piece of debris or swarf would remain stuck to it through sulphuric acid. It usually decontaminates the surface to allow it to anodise through the electric current. Probably a blemish from the machining maybe?

Ok, if you brush over it you won't notice anything, it's smooth! What do you think, can it get bigger or even flake off - that's my biggest worry.

This is a tough one, you expect (and deserve) the phone to be perfect - however as it’s so small and insignificant, if the rest of the phone is perfect, then no, I would just get a lens cleaner or some isopropyl alcohol solution and see if I can clean it off and put a case on it

On one hand, you pay a lot for an iPhone, especially a 15 Pro model, so you expect a flawless product. And in such a situation as this, you are justified to return for a replacement.

However, because the blemish is so small, it is rather difficult to justify the inconvenience of exchange, restoring from backup and the risk of some other defect that may be less livable. If it were me, I’d keep it, case-less or with a case.

To me that is a nothing blemish. When you buy a mass produced item they easily can be some imperfections and that one is almost impossible to see to a person with normal vision. Just go buy a new car and I seen so many imperfections even from premium brands that are really obvious and the owner just ignored them and was happy with the car. When I bought my new car 5 years ago I saw some paint inconsistencys. I just kept the car and then after a year I took the car to the detail shop and had them do a paint corrections as needed and for the most part the flaws are still there but much less noticeable.
