Today's announcement was disappointing. The Halloween event was exceptional with double candy, so, and abundant wild ghost types.

The largest holiday of the year gets a novelty hat and almost impossible-to-acquire new Pokémon. Seriously, egg hatching is very difficult without buying incubators. Most people have 1 incubator and 9 eggs and only new eggs will give gen 2 Pokémon.
Buy some incubators if you want to hatch more than 1 egg at a time. You get free incubators when you level up as well. The best part for me about the Halloween event was the 4x faster buddy candies. That's the only reason I have a charizard

Don't brag about playing in the car. Niantic thinks they are traffic cops and can decide when and how I play my own games. Niantic killed this game plain and simple. With every "update", they just took something away. Took them 3 months to show me which Pokémon are at pokestops.
No bragging here. I'm too old and value my time too much to be spending hours/day but I also enjoy the exercise and the grind to some extent. So I'm looking forward to warmer weather and game updates and events. I'm glad Niantic handled the rollouts and updates slowly like they did. I live in NYC so if I could identify and locate nearby Pokemons, I would have collected all of them months ago and would have quit once the cold weather set in. Right now, I'm level 33 and only a few Pokemons away from collecting all of them (in my country anyway). From day one of release, Niantic knew that they would lose millions of players over the following weeks/months. Since they launched so strong, they could only go down from there and try to maintain the user base. Adding a bunch of features day one would lead to quicker burn through rate of players and also many bugs. These releases are calculated to hold as many players for as long as possible. They might have lost millions including you but they've held onto millions including me. It's a business and I'm a customer...until I'm not.

You just described the problem with this game. You can drive around and catch Pokémon in the city, I walk all day and catch 5. Played everyday since July and I'm level 25 and have spent money to play. How can you take money from everyone, no matter the location, but not let everyone catch Pokémon? It's a fraud is what it is. I still play everyday but no more money for nothing.

You must have received different updates than I did. Originally I could not log in at all. The first update removed nearby tracking- I don't want a full map tracker, just a way to find Pokémon when I'm not in town. Then they took away hitting pokestops at highway speeds(I'm a passenger! That's why I hit "I'm a passenger" every 5 minutes). I know I'm forgetting something but niantic is 100% the reason behind the numbers dropping.

Don't tell me the game is only for walking, it's Pokémon Go, not Pokémon Walk
I totally relate. I commute to work from NYC to NJ in bumper to bumper traffic. Sorry but I play while I drive. If feel bad doing it but when I look around, every single driver is also on their phones so I don't feel so bad. We're not really moving fast at all. In the city, gyms, pokestops and pokemon are everywhere but when I get to NJ, I see nothing. I still keep my game running to hatch eggs but that's all there is to do. If I didn't live in the city, I would not be playing so I admire your persistence. To date I have spent $20 on pokecoins but I feel like a fool for spending any money on a silly game. On the other hand it has given me something to do while I exercise (can't wait for Apple Watch version) and I enjoy collecting so $20 isn't much for someone like me who has never paid for any in-app purchases before. They only recently cracked down on non-walking. Lats month, I was able to collect items from pokestops doing 60mph. Now, nothing over 20mph works but that's fine. Not sure why you think the game isn't just for walking. Niantic has said it is and it's designed around walking.

No apology needed, I wish I was as fortunate. I have been playing pokemon since I was 9(27 now), so I will always play this game. I'm 15 minutes by car from the nearest pokestop and there is no way to request more, that's where most of my frustration comes from. I'm fine with a 10mph(I run faster than 6mph and you have to be going in straight lines or the gps will not work correctly) cap on hatching but what is the point in the pokestop speed limit? Seems redundant since the warning pops up so often. What's not ok is the fact Pokémon only spawn in cities and an inscent only brings in 4 Pokémon(which are all the same, low level nidoran) and charge 1$ a pop. I chose to load 100$ in pokecoins so I could incubate everything at 1 time and because it was cheaper than buying a few when I needed them.

Can you imagine Apple making your messages app not work because you are going faster than 20 mph? Niantic needs to understand it is not their responsibility to force "safety" on people. Personally, I think Niantic only did the pokestop speed cap because of that 1 bus driver that's all over the web. 1 bus driver can shape the direction of this game but die hard fans have no say in anything!

"Now, nothing over 20mph works but that's fine. Not sure why you think the game isn't just for walking." People walk at 20 mph?

I do buy incubators but It's honestly way too expensive.

In higher levels you don't get nearly any valuable items. The last incubator I received was maybe 8 levels ago.

Its literally gambling but legal for everyone over 13.

Lol, that last little bit was hilarious. It really is a ridiculous game/app. Why did it have to be a Pokémon game!?
