Both my wife and I have had the iPhone X since 11/3 and play Pokemon Go regularly. We've both noticed that they game is frequently freezing / locking up. There was a period yesterday where it happened 4 times in 20 minutes for my wife and 3 times in that same period for me.

Our avatars will stop moving even though we've changed locations and it's even happened when sitting on the couch. Often the screen becomes unresponsive. Not every time, but occasionally, we're getting GPS signal error messages. My wife is on 11.1 and I upgraded to 11.1.1 and it's still happening. We didn't have any issues with the iPhone 7 or 7+ each of us had before we got the X. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it happening on any iPhones other than the X?

If you are using the phone's "Low Power Mode", then this is the cause of the GPS issue.
It is said to be fixed in the betas of the upcoming iOS 11.2 though.

Other than that, I have not seen any issues using Pokémon GO on my iPhone X.

Interesting. I do use LPM often as Pokemon Go is a battery killer. I'll experiment and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.

Different issue, but with the latest update that adds iPhone X support, does the iPhone not stay awake like it used to? My iPhone now goes to sleep based on the phone settings, it won’t stay awake anymore just have an app open like it used to.
