As an active daily player, I really love this. It's something I suggested right when the game was released. I really like that I'll finally be able to get something in the game for all the walking I do at work and around the house. It's also crazy how many people online so far don't seem to understand how this will work. No, it won't use GPS in the background, no, it won't use any more data than having the app open, and no, it won't make the Go Plus useless (you can't spin PokéStops or catch Pokémon with the Health app integration!).

Welcome change, and the weekly stats will be awesome too!

I've never played Pokemon Go but just seeing how enthusiastic you are about it puts a smile on my face. You're always so cheerful. I love it. :D

Pokemon Go? Is it still even relevant?
Pokemon Go is so 2016..move on.
Wasn't there reports that the game made $86million last month?

You should check out a community day when they are on once a month. there are still hundreds of players whenever i go out. And as i work in a CBD whenever there is a raid on there is at least 20-30 players without fail. It's built an amazing community of players.

is this feature on by default? or we need to wait for an app update or turn it on in the settings

I stopped playing because of frustrating levelling back in early 2017, but when I found out that you could trade between players I returned back in July. Some "catching" up to do, and this announcement is another great improvement.

I've struggled to play this apart from a few days here and there. I'll be interested to check this out. If it is a feature that will keep me playing I am not sure it will. I want to like it but I'm not sure if it is for me.

Good to see the game getting more features though.

Potentially, the best update they could ever release!

I am fed up of walking 10km and being credited with 1km (thats with the app open).

My issue with it has always been that I live and walk out in a rural neighborhood. There’s much of nature to see but little of Pokémon. Walking to hatch the eggs is pretty much my main interaction at home.

But grocery shopping has always been a good time to catch them!

At my peak of playing, my family and I had been catching Pokémon all day during our beach vacation, and by the end of one particular day we were at a mini golf course. I had my phone out to take a picture and a squirrel darted out at me from a bush and my addled brain thought “Pokémon” and I almost threw my phone at it, to catch it.:rolleyes:

In other words, Niantic wants access to hoover up your health data along with your location data so it can sell it all as a nice bundle.

Home is sometimes like this in Wales.
