People are still come to post to complain about the game?
Niantic have fixed heaps, the game is super playable still. Tracking is in the game and it's the best it can be without resorting to blatently cheating and using 3rd party apps cluttered with ads that you need to relog and continue to make dummy accounts to use.

I've probably only skipped 5 days since the game launched. Granted it's not that compelling catching the same stuff and i have all the pokemon but it's fun to make goals and take over gyms and level up still. If i'm out walking somewhere (like work or my dogs) it's pretty easy to play pokemon go. All they need to do is make Gen 2 to make everyone happy. I don't care about trading and battling other players. There is no incentive for that.

You're possibly the exception to the rule. I imagine a few more users would flock back if they allowed trading; not many people enjoy grinding away at a game to the extent you've described.

Then I am too. I love the game. Play at least a little bit every day. Just because you don't play doesn't mean no one else does.

Well, with the demographic they target I think they had exactly ONE summer to convince everyone.

Sure there's still people playing, but they lost a lot of momentum and one winter is all it needs for people to quite naturally stop playing (the die-hard fans aside).

Glassed Silver:win

Well, now the other half of the game is there with trading and player battles. Capturing and gym battles welcome you.

I didn't say anything about new stories... I said you don't just pay once anymore.

But you can pay once, and enjoy the game. DLC is optional and its totally different vs micro transaction. Fire Emblem for iOS for example can cost $1,000s and you still might not have an SS tier 5 star character. And I beat that game on all 3 difficulties under 5 hours. While $60 Zelda game will probably end up being one of the most extensively entertaining AAA title of the year that'll provide 100s of hours of entertainment with all the side quests, etc...

Still not a pay once for the "complete" experience. Once upon a time you could just buy a game and they'd give you add on and patches... now the only way you can get a complete experience is to buy GOTY editions.

It is a complete experience. This game will have more things to do than any other Zelda game ever with it's open world without the DLC. You pay $20 more for a new story inside the same game world if you want to play new content.

Yes, I love to play too. I doubt I've missed a day too. The app crashing MUST get fixed! I *assume* it will, as it's never done this before the most recent patch. If I'm to gripe about anything else, the 8 day "increased" spawn rate of Chansey was a LIE! I ran into him once.. ONCE! I fled after one throw with an ultra ball and a razberry. Not cool guys!

EDIT: Update Dropped! Seems stable so far! Love the customization improvements! Pokéball selection on capture screen is AMAZING!!!!!

Edit to edit: App still crashes... Not fixed. It seems a *little* better. ONLY a little, whereas it almost never did it before.

I post complaints because maybe Niantic will see them. Where do you recommend we complain about the crappy software? To Niantic's robot email? No thank you.

Just because you enjoy the game and are content with the lack of spawns and the feature removals/updates, doesn't mean everyone has the same experience. Get out of the city and then tell us the game is great.

How do I find these 4 Pokémon that only disappear from "tracking" when I move?

First off, they were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to use Pokémon IP on mobile and had Facebook like following overnight, but they blew it.

Secondly, I was very disappointed with the game, I'm disappointed with Mario Run, and even more disappointed with the ridiculously expensive IAPs in Fire Emblem, therefore I'm done with mobile gaming.

I preordered the Nintendo Switch, to play proper Nintendo games, that I pay once and enjoy for 10s of hours.
The only complaint I had with MARIO run is that it's 6 worlds and should be 8. Having said that, show me any MARIO game that was $10 brand new. Fire emblem may suck, idk, but pogo definitely blows.

I am just disappointed with mobile gaming in general nothing against Mario Run, I bought it and enjoyed it. I just have a problem with people that want Nintendo consoles to die and that they become primarily a mobile gaming company. The only way to survive in mobile is micro transactions and IAP. If you want proof just look at Fire Emblem, it's still near the top of Top Grossing Apps while Mario Run has slipped off the charts. Difference is one is fairly priced, and the other is out to get you.

I agree with that completely. Nintendo needs to be a software and hardware company, much like Apple but they still need mobile games for other platforms. As an owner of nn3ds and having a switch paid for, the console games need to stay on the consoles.

Still no reason OLD Mario and Pokémon games can't be ported to iOS. There is no way for me to be good at pogo, no matter how much I play it or spend on it and that really bothers me.

I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.

I personally object to the region locked Pokémon. How am I supposed to "catch them all?"
Yeah, region lock is a joke. I also like that we have no birds, no mew or mewtwo but we now have ledyba, thank goodness.

I haven't seen a single gen 1 all day long, so I guess I'm screwed on the first gen pokedex now.(133 at level 26, missed 5 days since launch)

Have I mentioned that Niantic sucks?

GAMEFREAK if you are out there I'm begging you to make a real mobile Pokémon game. I'll give you 39.99

I'm in a good location.... I have all Gen1 besides the region locked.... AND CHANSEY! Even during the "increased" spawn rate time, he popped ONCE, and bolted after ONE throw, with an ultraball and razberry. I'm rather cross about this...

I'm hoping for Pokémon Stars on the Switch. It'll be the first time a full Pokémon game is in HD and portable at the same time. E3 can't come soon enough.

Yeah I read your comment about Chansey earlier and the same thing happened to me with a dragonite a while back, so I know it sucks. I have still not seen a chansey.

If this wasn't a Pokémon game, I would have deleted it a long time ago. It's a bad sign they have added new Pokémon before they addressed the problems for rural players.

I think that is more likely the cause of players quitting versus lack of Pokémon in the game. Niantic could do so many things to keep this game fresh and fun for everyone, but they are asleep at the wheel or something.

Trainer encounters while at walking speed? Team Rocket quests/battles? Something to help gain xp and stardust.

PvP will be a welcome addition but it's not necessary. They have to change the move list big time if they are going to add any type of battling because a swipe-a-thon is not a very in-depth battling mechanism.

Idk what a stars game would be but if it's Pokémon snap 2, I'm out. I think it's about time for pokemon stadium 3 but with open world encounters to make it a full featured Pokémon game.

Again, I'm in a REAL good (metropolitan) location... I have caught Dragonite fully evolved in the wild twice and seen him 2 others, but Chansey still eludes me, even in an egg. You'd think with Blissey in Gen2 they'd loosen the reins on him a bit, right?

I wouldn't assume anything with Niantic. I still need probably 6 first gen, aside from legendaries. I have to go 30 miles to find a good spot to catch Pokémon.

These pinap berries or whatever claim they cause the Pokémon to drop more candy. In my experience they still only give you 3....am I doing something wrong?

Hey man! The Pinap berries change it from 3 to 5. when you use it you should see the berry icon near the Pokémon; it it breaks free you'll have to use another. Also, I feel your pain with the location. I live outside the city but work in; if I only played at home, I'd have deleted it in a month. It's really BAD in the suburbs! Never mind the infrequent spawns, but the stops and gyms are miles apart in many cases. Luckily there are parks around, but that's not really convenient for day to day play.

Cool, so I need to use the pinap and catch it off that berry? Seems like 2 pinap berries should make it drop 10 not 5, but I guess I used it wrong because I still only got 3.

On a different note I was lucky enough to get a metal coat so now I need to find a scyther nest.

You can only use 1 berry at a time though; each type or quantity. Funny, I got a metal coat shortly after posting this and evolved my Scizor!
