I can’t unlock my phone if I’m wearing Polarized glasses. Anyone else having this problem?

    Try some Raybans.

lol. Jk. The word you are looking for is polarized.

And FaceID works fine with my polarized sunglasses.

Yours are just blocking that wavelength of light that FaceID requires. I think it was 935 nm or something like that.

My wayfarers (non polarised) don’t work either which sucks.

My polarized Costa sunglasses with blue mirror lens work perfectly with the X. Work every time.

My polarized Maui Jim’s and Gucci’s work fine with Face ID, as do my non polarized Kate Spade aviators. I have some others I intend to try this out as well. It seems certain types of sunglasses (Rayban Wayfarers) may cause an issue though; I am tempted to go try them out in store and I don’t own any.

works 1 out of 10 times with my wayfarers on. I have to have my face bathed in light with them on for it to work.

He said "Polarized" in his post. I think you'll find that Polaroid make polarised sunglasses.

Which is why you should only wear your sunglasses at night.

What I mean is , if I look down at the phone then it won’t work. I have to tilt my head up and bring the phone right up as well. As if I was trying to take a pictrue of the sky.

    That’s not right.
