Ive seen photos of people polishing it and they all look really shiny, And not what originally it was before.

Any way to get it the same colour etc and no shine like before?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

The dull finish (original) is done after machining and is a chemical dip (etch)

To get the same effect you would have to gut your iPhone polish the band then dip it in a chemical etch, basically a light acid bath.

The high polish on my watch a rolex gmt2c. I used scotch brite on the center links of the bracelet to give it a brushed finish. Use the green pads and go one direction cover anything you don't want to brush with tape. work slowly. might not be the same dullness as the original iPhone color but it will be brushed.

Yeah, it can be done, have to remove the clear coat, then sand/polish until its to your liking. Problem is if you have to have your phone exchanged they will likely deny warranty for this.
