Ordered White 16GB and Black 16GB on Friday 11 at 11AM EDT
On Saturday, got email saying 2-3 day backorder on Black
Status checking through weekend/Monday showed both phones going in and out of Backorder.
Monday night, White shipped from Memphis and has arrived at Charlottesville, VA store today.
Tuesday morning, Black shipped from Ft. Worth and it waiting for the next FedEx Jet (will arrive Wednesday).
 
Ordered two on Friday - 16 GB White and 16 GB Black.

I was offered priority shipping but I went with standard. Sales rep tried to have it shipped to my house but it defaulted to ship to store. I said fine and to still ship it standard at no extra charge.

Current Status:

16 GB Black - Email received Saturday morning that it is on back order for 5 to 7 days.

16 GB White - Email received Monday morning that my order was shipped to the store. Checked the FedEx link and it showed priority shipping to be delivered to the store by 3 PM on Tuesday.

So I ordered the FREE standard shipping and they shipped it for next day delivery. Latest FedEx tracking status shows "On FedEx vehicle for delivery". The 16 GB White was shipped out of Ft Worth, TX.
 
Ordered Friday 4:20 PM 16 GB WHITE and shipped today, will be here on tomorrow (July 16)

SO EXCITED!

Edit: I ordered in Upstate NY and it shipped from Ft Worth TX (In case anyone else could use that info? )
 
Looks like 16gig black is the most popular.
Surprised more 8gigs haven't shipped.

They haven't taken your money. Just your order. You'll pay when you get it. If by some chance they charge your card before you receive it, simply have the credit card company put the charge in suspension.
 
8 gb order Saturday 9:15 AM EDT

It sounds like DF for Friday orders is starting to happen. I wonder if it bodes well for those of us with Saturday orders. Does that mean we will be seeing our phones arrive this week or do you think the supply will be thinned out by the Friday DF crowd?
 
AT&T messed up the shipping name and address

Incorrect address - Street name/number


FedEx told me that the package had only my name with the shopping mall address for AT&T. The driver didn't know how to deliver it inside the shopping mall. You would think that the driver is familiar with that mall address.

I'll call AT&T to check the shipping information on my other phone that is still on backorder.
 
Ordered 1 16gb white, 1 16gb black, friday around 10 am. Shipped and picked up black, still waititng on white.

If you have a way to get that script you wrote on the web and throw a few ads on there, I bet you could make a ton. I'd personally check it every day, and bet a lot of others would too.

submit that bad by to dig and I bet it will at least pay off your iphone.

I got an email Sunday saying mine was backordered as well and will ship in 2-3 days. Did anyone else get that timeframe?

Since it didn't ship today I'm guessing tomorrow or should I not hold my breath?:confused:

The black one shipped - its kind of annoying that both dont ship at the same time because ATT can only do separate orders - don't get why they couldnt bundle it as one order. But I will live.

Am I alone in thinking this is a tremendous waste of resources? ATT is shipping these 1 at a time overnight air instead of taking 15-20 orders at a specific store and bundling them for shipping. To me this is a waste of cardboard, gasoline, money, time etc. and continues to show how we waste resources.

I agree it is a waste, but with everyone breathing down AT&T's necks to get THEIR iPhone NOW, imagine what people would be screaming if THEIR iPhone was delayed until a dozen phones were ready to ship to a store.
