I use an iPad mini 3 every day, 128 GB with cellular running iOS 10.2.1.

While it has slowed down a little bit, I still find it quite useful. All the apps I use on a daily basis work fine, no issues. I did disable some things like Siri suggestions (I don't use them), background refresh, and enabled reduce motion.

It works fine for me. I feel like this could be the last usable version of iOS for it.

Updating to the latest iOS definitely slowed it down. Just turning it on seems like it takes 3x longer or more. I don't understand why it has to be so drastic. iOS 7 was fantastic but it was so under-supported that an update was warranted. It still works, though...

My Mini 2 16GB has been running fine. I use it daily and It handles everything I throw at it. Is my Pro faster? Yes but for what the Mini is it meets my expectations.
