    Done it, nice and easy.
I was pissed I lost facetime and mms but installed a quick fix from cydia and everything runs perfect now.

not quite the same, but i had a 3gs on the newest bootrom and 4.0 and it has gone mostly smoothly. still missing compatibility on at least 40% of apps, but the important ones are done.

Worked like a charm so slick. Can't wait til all the little kiddies go to the Apple store and jailbreak all the phones, I heard last time there was a web based jailbreak you would spend the last hour of the night restoring them ha.

Took me twice to get it right (I fixed the Facetime/MMS myself), but now it's great. And as with the other posters, the 340 meg free, up from the 10 I was lucky to have on my 3G is just awesome.

I'm at the "Downloading" screen, it's showing a full blue bar as if it's complete but nothing is happening. It's been like this for about five minutes.

I am so stoked...my first iPhone, my first jailbreak. Seriously considering donating some money Comex's way. Had a rough start (missing facetime/MMS), had to restore a few times. Then about an hour later, comex tweeted that jailbreakme.com was working as it should, so I started from scratch and now everything is perfect.

Went to the website, swiped the phone, installed, done.

Soo easy a caveman can do it.
