Poll- Is iPhone 3G going to be delayed?

Why would you think it was gonna be delayed? There's been no rumors whatsoever about any delays. Steve Jobs said the iPhone 3G will be out July 11, and that iPhone OS 2.0 would be out early July. That is about as solid as you can get.

they gave a firm release date so no it won't be delayed. Notice this is unlike Apple TV, Leopard, etc. because for those products they never gave "firm" release dates.

The way I see it now, it's a little over 2 weeks away and yet we still don't have and clear cut plan on how in store activations will go...

I'm sure the data plans are now 30 bucks (sucks) but what of sms? What of upgrade eligibility?

This all seems to be a lack of info on ATT's part...who knows.

I'm sure we'll get reviews from walt and pogue maybe a day or 2 before release, but damn in all honesty aside from a few hands on accounts at wwdc there's really been no other news about the iphone 3g....mostly just speculations, disappointments and confusion.

Sometimes I really wish apple wasn't so secretive with launches.

I doubt there would be a delay. I would assume they announced the date until they were sure that the roll-out would be ready then.

a delay may actually be ok in some situations..

i.e. to get other providers on-board or to get firm eBay prices p)

But he will say the same crap he always says... and offer the same kiss-butt opinion he always does. That is how he keeps Steve happy and gets himself an iPhone a week before anyone else. You scratch my Apple, I'll scratch yours.
