Another vote for My3G, been suing the trial since I jailbroke my i4 and I'm really liking it so will be buying it later
 
Isn't My3G only available Rock? If it's available in Cydia, then I'll be looking into it.
 
Both apps are shown to be developed/written by the same person. Somebody is in a win/win situation.
 
Why does everybody hate Rock?

Have had no problems with them to
date except for currently trying to obtain
a license transfer.

BTW, just did FaceTime over 3G with
My3G and it worked flawlessly.
 
ok, so i have triedboth and i love 3g unrestrictor!!!

i used it yesterday via facetime and it worked prefectly! pretty cool to see my daughter before bedtime while on3g, no having to be on a wifi conection. because that was a huge flaw for us, the only time we both wre on wifi at the same time was at the house. whnich makes it dumb since were togther anyways.
 
I used the My3G trial and loved it. Worked perfectly every time, but having Rock installed on my phone really bothered me so I just bout 3GU. I also like the interface with 3GU better while having SBSettings. It's more of an on off switch for the apps you choose and not ALL of them (like My3G).
 
Tried both and stuck with 3G Unrestrictor. I don't want rock on my phone so it made the decision even easier.
 
Just tried 3GU and it didnt work for Facetime. It's just kept saying no available. I guess I'm going back to My3G and lost my 4 bucks for 3GU. LOL
 
Damn, I could have told you guys
that My3G works well for Facetime.

I still don't understand why you guys
hate having ROCK on your iPhone. So
far their products have worked great
and they don't charge you an arm or
leg to buy.
 
Love 3G Unrestrictor. Been using it with my previous phone and never had a problem so I'm sticking with it. First app I installed after I jailbroke the i4.
 
It seems I've read of more people on this forum having problems with My3G than with 3GU. Personally, I've only used 3GU, and it's worked flawlessly.

BTW, they're not made by the same developer. 3G Unrestrictor has been around forever.

And people hate Rock because of the Rock Extensions that conflict with Cydia and mobile substrate and generally are the cause of much consternation for JB'ers.

did you update 3GU? It works with facetime so you are doing something wrong.

Right, but you don't have to install Rock Extensions anymore, so what's the problem now?

Just look for threads in this forum on how to completely uninstall Rock or "installed Rock, now XYZ is broken," and you'll quickly see.
