If you have just got yourself a MBA Rev.2 SSD, please help participate in this poll so that our experience can serve as a guide for prospective MBA buyers. My poll doesn't seem to be comprehensive enough, it missed out those manufactured in Week 43 or earlier and Week 48 or later. As such, please refer to below:

    - Have faint thin horizontal lines across my screen (WeeK 44) <- Week 43 or earlier, please choose this.
    - Have faint thin horizontal lines across my screen (WeeK 45)
    - Have faint thin horizontal lines across my screen (WeeK 46)
    - Have faint thin horizontal lines across my screen (WeeK 47) <- Week 48 or later, please choose this.
    - Have exchanged for one that does not have the faint thin horizontal lines
    - Do not have any faint thin horizontal lines across my screen

This is a picture taken by one of the posters (Thread: Thin Horizontal Lines on Rev 2 MBA, Post #87):

This problem doesn't seems to affect just the MBA but also the MBP (Thread: Thin Horizontal Lines on Rev 2 MBA, Post #134):

All credits go to these kind-hearted souls who took a photo of their defective screen.

There are some people who experience the screen problem but having a week 43 and there are also some who have returned a few times to get back the same defective screen. So the actual figures for defects might be higher. Anyway, if you are Week 43 or earlier, please choose the first option.

If you happen to see what I see, then probably you have the same issues as the rest....
I am just praying that a firmware update would resolve this.

    Really responsible advice for 50/50.

And again, it's funny that no one voted for 'fixed by replace', but they might not just come back here anymore.

Even if someone got a fixed replacement, he cannot vote twice!

Voters can't change the vote? I'm yet to get a Rev B, so I'm not even trying to vote, but then, that option is only useful for people who already got one fixed with a replace.

Don't worry, everyone will ignore your post like that before you asked. I can't believe your attitude for one thing but you could care less.

Voted "Have exchanged for one that does not have the faint thin horizontal lines"

Mine was a lot worse than the pictures in this thread. The Air I currently have has no visible lines, it's still a bit grainy on the whites but it will do.

Not many know the existence of this forum. They will normally call Apple Care or approach the retailers directly. This is ridiculous, 30% defects are enough to shatter my confidence in their product. I will be extra careful when purchasing Apple products, unlike other brands.

I would go to the store pay, open the box look at it, then if not happy ask for another one, if they are all bad, get a refund, simple?

Thank god that people reported the problem repeatedly to alert new potential buyers to make that opportunity easy instead of buy and realize at home thinking Rev B is always supposed to be perfect like some wants to believe.

I think I have them on a week 43, but i have to really look at a blank white screen really really close to see a hint of them. So it really is not noticeable to me and I don't care. The thing is awesome.

My biggest problem is connecting it to Cisco Access Points for Wi-Fi, it will not pull the IP automatically from the access points. Annoying to see a Vista machine and my iPhone connect right next to my $2500 picture frame. I guess this affects all the new MacBooks as I have been reading.
