POLL: Prefer old or new iMac design?

Every time when a new Apple product comes out, everyone criticizes it, and after awhile, everyone loves it. This thread is a prime example 😛

We still have the older, white 20" iMac, but I like the looks of the new ones better. I voted new.

I love my aluminum iMac. I do wish it had the magnet to hold the remote on the side like the old white iMac did.

I prefer the white models vs. the Alu models. Both look nice, but I think the white is more friendly and consumer oriented. Same deal with the MacBooks: I prefer the white models to the black.

The white is so crisp and clean, and the Aluminum is almost somber in a way. Regardless, it's still a good looking computer.

I agree. The iMac G4 was a much better looking computer than both the iMac G5 and Alu iMac designs. It looks like Apple put more thought into the design than the others.

what about the G3 iMac

MINE died and it was that exct same model running 10.3 my hdd is lik F****D i put it in this external usb and it says 2tb of storage and doesnt say its a 60gb would any one know how to fix this and its lookig like this in disk utility

I'm not voted, because I won't call the new iMac, a "G6"


But it has grown on my...wish I could get some white on there, but its nice

Same... although my Apple Remote likes my iMac's foot.

Oh and a subtle sleep light would have been nice, too... although it's not crucial, I sometimes have to check if my iMac is shut down or asleep before I go to out, or to bed, etc.

But, I do love it non-the-less. I think it's great!

I call it the 2007 iMac. Or Alu iMac. For an iMac to go up a generation, in my opinion, it should be a completely reformed design. While I love this design, it is, in theory, just like the G3 getting a new colour... but with a few pounds trimmed off it.

I voted for the new design. Seeing them side by side in person made a big difference too.

Also is the new imac thinner than the last generation?
