After seeing it in the store I cancelled my silver order and got the space gray 15" machine.

This would have been a great opportunity to have the space gray with typical black keys and bezel and a silver variant with white keys and bezel (my favorite color combo, since the G5 era).
But since either way you're stuck with the black accents I think the space gray looks nicer but, unless it's not a good indication, the difference between my space gray iPhone and silver ancient ass MBP is relatively subtle. I wouldn't really have much of a preference while ordering one.

Anyone else kinda disappointed there was no gold? I've always gone white/silver in everything for the last four years, and I probably wouldn't get a gold iPhone or iPad (in the current designs at least), but the gold 12" MacBook speaks to my soul in ways it has not heard before. I think it's the combination of gold and black bezel/keyboard that does it for me. Would've liked to have seen how that carried over to the Pro. I ended up ordering a 15" in my usual silver.
Gold and black reminds me of the 1980s. No thank you. Space Gray is nice. It's a unique color for a mobile device. Black matte would have been better...
