Anyway, keeping my iPhone 7. Upgrading one line on the plan from a 3-year old iPhone 6 Plus to the 8 Plus. Shame the deals this year aren't as good as last year. Should've just upgraded that last year to 7 Plus and gotten the $650 trade in credit.

Went from 6+ to SE to 7 to.....ANOTHER 7.... but this time with 256gb. I'm quite happy with the size/performance and now storage will no longer be an issue. The 8 is way overpriced and I refused to spend $200 more for minor improvements that I didn't care for.

A 256GB 8 is the same exact price as a 256GB 7 was. How is that overpriced? Its overpriced for those that had 128GB and thats because its no longer an option.

I paid $649 for my Product Red 7 256gb at Best Buy this past weekend. That's $200 less than the 8 256gb

Thats comparing Apples and Oranges. The 7 is a one year old device. Original MRSP is the exact same as the 8 256GB. Therefore its not "overpriced" based on that merit. Yes iPhones are expensive but you can't say its way overpriced when its the same exact price. Not like they are going to reduce the cost.

7+.. waiting at the very least till next year, probably 2 years. There's just not enough bang for my buck to warrant an upgrade. Software is behind the times, that needs a kick in the butt first. The hardware in the last few generations can easily last a while.

It is in my eyes and its why I passed on it.

Had Apple actually gave us a new 8 with a 1080p display and 3 gigs of RAM, no question I would've upgraded to one.

Wireless charging and truetone display weren't enough for me to spend over $1000 after taxes and Apple care.
