There seemed to be almost a 50-50 split between 11" and 13" MBAs sold (Apple got the market research bang on).

Now we've had these 2010 and 2011 models for a while, what size would you go for next? Happy with your current? Want it bigger/smaller?

For the sake of interest (especially given today's rumors), I'll assume there'll be a 15" model.

I'm not sure that a 15" air makes sense. It would be more portable than a MBP, but seems too large to be considered part of the Air line.

Prediction: 13" Pro ceases to exist. new lineup looks like this in 2012:

11" Air
13" Air
15" Pro (Redesigned)
17" Pro (Redesigned or killed, not sure which)

Ceases.

My next would I'm sure be another 11". It's the perfect second computer.

I'd be sticking with the 13". It's a great deal smaller than my previous notebooks and does everything I need. I did play around with the 11" MBA in the store but found it a little to small for me personally - but I can easily see the appeal it holds for a number of users.

I do not see the 15" MBA the same slim line design as the 13". I think the 13" is pushing the envelope for stability of strength. I could not imagine stretching it out another 2 inches as is.

I would like to see a 15" HiRes anti glare. No optical drive and a few less ports to help the design. But Just do not make a bigger 13" MBA, Really ;)

I like my current combo of MBA 11" with MBP 17". I will probably update to always have the smallest with the largest Apple laptops.

Living in one city and working in another, the 11" 2010 mba is my perfect solution for portability. It's my primary machine. For home I got myself a used 24" acd, wireless keyboard and trackpad, so I am perfectly happy. Would buy the same mba again, it has more or less made my iPad 1 obsolete as well.

This is my first post after years of reading and getting invaluable help and ideas via the forum here. Thanks for that.

I'd like a 15" MacBook Air with the 1920*1200 resolution of the 17" MacBook Pro. I have a 13" MacBook Air now.

+1

I have a 17" MBP and 13" MBA. I would love to replace them with 15" Air that can offer at least 500GB storage and support 2 TB displays.

I currently have a 21.5" iMac and 11" MBA. My MBA has basically rendered my iMac - for lack of better words - useless. The only times I find myself turning it on are when I need to sync my phone and that's basically it.

What I plan on doing is selling both the iMac and 11" MBA and replacing them with a 13-inch MBA (256GB/1.8GHz). Although I love my current MBA, it is the 2010 base model. I'm going to need to upgrade to something a little beefier if I intend on making a MacBook Air my only computer.

If it's an option then a 15" Air would suit me - I have a 13" MBA and I love it but it's a little small for me and I think the 15" would suit me better, at least size-wise.

We'll have to see what the specs/costs are first, of course! :)

I currently own both an 11" and a 13" MBA, and I have discovered that the 11" is really limiting for Ps, video editing, and surfing the web, due to its screen size; additionally, the battery life is awful and that limits its portability, for me anyway.

In light of the stated limitations, my next MBA purchase will definitely be the 13".

The Air has always been about practicality and being compact, reluctantly bought the 13" over the 11". Wouldn't get a 15" notebook that thin. But each to their own.
My 17" Vaio may as well be a desktop computer, I haven't moved it from my desk in years. Love my 13" air 

I have the 11", and will be getting a new 11" when they are released.

I also have an iMac 27" that I work on and use for "heave use", but the air is my evening/travel/bedtime/couch-buddy. It gets used for several hours per day, and the form factor is PERFECT for what I use it for. I love the lightness and size, it's not in the way when using it in front of the TV, watching a movie in bed and so on. I also like how 16:9-movies fill the entire screen :). I tried holding a 13" in my lap, but it honestly feels a bit bulky when used to the 11". I would rather have that on a desk than in my lap.

I bring it on meeting to take notes / work for a few hours / demonstrate something to clients, and it performs great. Even with 1.6Ghz C2D-processor and use of heavier apps such as Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and so on, it never chokes.

That beeing said, for working for any extended period of time the screen is a bit small. For what I use it for, it's great, but I wouldn't use it as my only computer. I'm thinking about going for 11" + TB display as a docking station next year, we'll see how that works out. I will be getting a new 11" though, that's for sure.

Is there currently any way of using your iMac as a TB display? I am buying a 27" iMac next year and wanted to do this. I understand that it may seem pointless but I might want to use my work on the air on the bigger screen. My tv is too big for this. I know there are other ways around it but it would be nice to connect the air and the iMac imo.

Got the 13" - would really like a 15" BUT won't do it just for the screen. Need more battery life, better GPU and CPU (and the ability to upgrade RAM yourself!).

I've just purchased a 13" and I'm totally happy with that choice. I might buy a 11" in the future, but that would be in addition to, not instead of, the 13".

man, the poll results are pretty interesting so far. It seems most people who bought an 11 are staying on the 11 whereas people who have a 13 seem to be split between the 13 and (possible) 15.

Well due to lack of Poll options, I went with I have a 13" but my next will be a 15" even though I have a 13" uMB now, just holding out for a hopeful 15" in early 2012
