As noted in earlier posts, when I upgrade my 2010 13 inch Ultimate MBA I will probably choose another 13 inch model. I suspect that a 15 inch MBA would be just enough bigger and heavier than the 13 inch model to keep it from appealing to me.

A 15 inch MBA might be appealing, though, if Apple could redesign the lid of a 15 inch model for it to have a thinner bezel, which would allow the use of a 15 inch display in a space little larger than the current 13 inch MBA. Such a prospect is indeed intriguing.

Interesting that only around 50% of those with the 13" Air would go for the same, given the other options, yet around 80% of 11" Air owners want to stay with the same.

I had the 2010 13" for 8 months. I liked it but upgraded to the 11" SB in August. One thing I noticed after time with use is the 11" seems more solid. The 13" creaked a lot, given I even purchased the special torx screw driver. I can't imagine a 15" in the same form factor.

My next MBA will definitely be the 11". I love how light it is. It is the most portable laptop I have ever had. I find I take it more places and use it in more places because of that.

I find the battery life is surprisingly good. I get a lot more than the advertised 5 hours, if I'm not using the wifi much (I often switch it off). However, a longer lasting stronger battery would make this machine even better.

The screen size is something that didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. You get used to it very quickly, and you don't really notice how small it is. However, for longer work sessions, and larger documents, it is easier to work on a bigger screen. I have an iMac for that, but might well be able to get along with a screen instead.

Ultimately, I would go for another 11" MBA because of its tremendous portability. But I won't be upgrading when the next refresh comes around. This is because my MBA is going strong, and I'm not a high end user - I mostly use MS Word, Preview (for pdfs - I use this a LOT), Google Chrome, and Mail. The feature that would most tempt me to upgrade would be a sufficient bump in battery life. If the battery life improved to 8-10 hours, I'd consider it, but I don't think that's imminent.
